IPOD WEDDINGS
RENTAL SYSTEMS
DIY (Do It Yourself)
So you’ve looked at some DJs or maybe you haven’t, but
you just don’t see the point. Well that’s understandable.
Maybe you’re having the type of wedding or event where you
don’t need a truly professional DJ and MC to provide
entertainment. Or maybe you just can’t find it in the budget
to get the type of entertainment you want. And let’s face
it, sometimes NO entertainment can be better than BAD
entertainment. Heck we have kids at home that are better DJs
and certainly more entertaining than some of those
low-dollar, weekend warrior types. But our kids certainly
aren’t the people you want to trust with your wedding or
special event (and neither are those part time DJs we
mentioned earlier).

So what do you do? Well we’re pretty sure you’ve heard of
the ‘iPod Wedding’. Why not consider it? It’s not a bad
thing. If all you need is some good background music and
maybe some fun songs later on, then a digital media player
might be perfect. If all you need a microphone for is so
people can hear the toasts, why hire a DJ? You certainly
know your favorite songs better than any DJ ever will and
you probably know your friends and family and their likes.
But don’t most DJs sell against or dislike ‘iPod Weddings’?
I’m sure they do. But most of those DJs don’t do much more
than stand back and push ‘play’. At Starz our Disc Jockey
services encompass so much more than just playing music and
our clients and potential clients can see that right up
front, but as we said, not all events really need a
professional DJ or MC.

If you’re considering a DIY (do-it-yourself) event when
it comes to music, there are some factors to consider. Where
will you get the equipment? Will the equipment you get be
enough to do what you want it to do? And what are your
options if you need help with it? We say consult a
professional. We’ve heard more horror stories about DIY
events and in most cases it’s because no one asked a
professional for help.
When you speak to one of our staff at Starz Entertainment,
we’ll give you our opinions on whether or not you should
consider hiring a professional. Once we determine that you
are going to do it yourself, we’ll use some of the
information we’ve already asked you and let you know exactly
which of our units you will need. We’ll get you set up with
everything you need in a simple and user-friendly kit. Don’t
have a media player or the music you want? We’ll take care
of it. Need a microphone? It’s included in the kit. In fact
we’ll give you 2.

And when you come to pick up the equipment, we’ll walk
you through the entire setup and operation to make sure that
you know exactly how to make it all work. But what if you
really don’t want to deal with the equipment part? Great, we
can send out a trained technician to not only deliver the
equipment, but set it up, keep it running, pack it up, and
bring it back to us when it’s all over. The tech won’t run
the equipment or DJ for you because you didn’t want a DJ
remember? He’s simply there to make sure everything works
and to take the hassle out of the rental process.

We know we aren’t the cheapest DJ company out there and you
might even be able to find a ‘professional’ DJ to DJ your
wedding for what our rental fees are, but good luck with
that. We do know what the average cost for quality
entertainment is in Phoenix and it isn’t cheap. If you just
want to save a few bucks or you don’t need the services of a
professional MC that’s understandable, but consult a
professional about your needs. And why not consult us? We’ll
help you do it yourself, just ask!
